Terms of Service
1. The service
FoodSafe Prep ("we", "us") provides a web-based study tool that helps people prepare for food-safety certification exams such as the ServSafe Manager examination. The service includes practice questions, explanations, progress tracking, spaced-repetition review and mock exams. Your use of the service is subject to these terms.
2. Not affiliated with any certification body
FoodSafe Prep is an independent study tool. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to the National Restaurant Association, ServSafe, Prometric, Pearson VUE, any certification body, or any government agency. Our questions are study aids written or collected for practice purposes. They are not official exam content, and access to them does not guarantee any result on an official examination.
3. Accounts and eligibility
You may use the service without an account. Practice progress is stored in your browser. A paid subscription grants access to additional content. You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to purchase a subscription.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Pro access is sold as a monthly subscription. All billing, payment processing, invoicing, and tax handling is performed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, our merchant of record. When you purchase a subscription you enter a billing agreement with Paddle, and Paddle is the seller of record for that transaction. We receive your order and account information from Paddle in order to provide the service.
Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to share your subscription credentials, resell access, scrape or bulk-download the question bank, or use the service to build a competing question product. We may suspend access that violates these terms.
6. No guarantee of results
FoodSafe Prep is a study aid. We make no guarantee that you will pass any examination, and we are not responsible for examination outcomes, employment decisions, or regulatory actions.
7. Intellectual property
The service, its code, design and written explanations are our property or used under licence. Practice questions are attributed to their sources where known. Regulatory texts such as the FDA Food Code are public-domain material of the United States Government.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, and our total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
9. Changes
We may update these terms as the service changes. Material changes will be announced in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
